(Click image to download PDF) Tennis Academy of the South, the teaching arm of the Sandy Springs Tennis Center, has the expertise and track record to match your junior’s skills and commitment level. We provide the training required for recreational play, entry level competition and all the way to NCAA Division 1 scholarships and beyond. Since 1985, Tennis Academy of the South has developed hundreds of junior players including more than 250 NCAA scholarship athletes, 14 NCAA All Americans, 5 NCAA Individual National Champions, 2 National # 1 Junior Champions and 14 professional tour players. Our success speaks for itself. Our junior training progression provides a detailed road map for tennis specific goals at every age and ability level. Students, in consultation with parents and TAS pros, set goals and chart their progress through a progression of instruction and training. We have the programming and methodology to take juniors from beginner to elite players. Designed for tournament level players making a 2-5 day commitment to year round training, playing in USTA sanctioned tournaments moving toward a state, sectional or national ranking. Intensive training includes on court drills, strength and conditioning, mental imagery, mental toughness training, pattern play and tournament coaching. There are 3 levels of training within Academy based on individual skills, goals and level of commitment.
