Our Story

Tennis Academy of the South

Groslimond Tennis Services, Inc. (GTS) has managed and operated the Sandys Springs Tennis Center (SSTC) since 2013 through a contractor agreement with the City of Sandy Springs. Gery Groslimond is the Facility Manager. Jeff Groslimond is Head Professional and Director of the Academy. The Groslimond family has a long history at SSTC. Gery’s wife Pam played ALTA at Sandy Springs for many years while sons Andrew and Jeff played many junior USTA tournaments here. Long time residents of Sandy Springs, the Groslimond family and GTS in partnership with the City are committed to improving SSTC to a top tennis center in the South.

With their long term success running a premier tennis academy, the Groslimonds have brought top flight programming to SSTC. A dynamic program of instruction for all ages and abilities has revitalized the tennis center. Now the home base for Tennis Academy of the South , SSTC offers beginner to elite level training for juniors and adults with 40 plus program sessions weekly.

Since 2013, SSTC has replaced all of the court fencing ($100,000), resurfaced 24 courts ($170,000), built a backboard half court ($8,000), upgraded courtside tables and seating ($5,300), upgraded the lobby furniture ($2,400) and made major repairs to outdoor stadium stairs ($70,000). In 2019, we will invest $300,000 in an overhaul of the court lighting with new LED equipment and lights.

Gery and Jeff have consistently given back to the community with outreach programs to over 15 charities and schools. Outreach includes 5 years of summer camp for underserved children plus free or discounted fees to Special Pops, ALTA Foundation, American Cancer Society, Sandy Springs Tennis Association, 5 local schools and many more.
