About TAS Tennis Academy of the South under the direction of Gery Groslimond has operated in the Atlanta area for over 30 years and has helped over 200 juniors earn college scholarships. With the main academy location at Sandy Springs Tennis Center, TAS is excited to be in its 5th year at the campus of Fowler Park in Cumming, GA.

TAS FOWLER PARK MANAGEMENT & STAFF

Kurt Clemmons, TAS Fowler Park Director, leads TAS Fowler Park after spending 4 years working for USTA – Player Development. There he coached and trained many of the top American Junior, collegiate, and professional players. Kurt has 25 years of experience coaching numerous WTA, ATP, and ITF ranked players as well as 3 Junior National Champions and an NCAA Semi-finalist. Kurt coached college tennis at his alma mater Georgia Tech, as well as Georgia State and the University of Washington. Kurt is a graduate of the USTA High Performance Coaching Program and is certified with the iTPA-TPT, NSCA-CSCS, KI-TSS, USPTA and SafeSport.

About the Program

TAS Pre-Academy

Ages 5 – 6 For young athletes learning fundamentals

TAS Pre-Academy is a program for athletes ages 5 -6 who are learning tennis fundamentals. Space is limited and tryouts are required.

2xWeek: $250/session

Tue/Thurs/Fri: 3:30 – 4:30pm
Mon/Wed/Fri: 4:30 – 5:30pm

TAS Select

Ages 7 – 10 For young athletes preparing to compete

TAS Select is a year-round, high performance training program designed to prepare young juniors ages 7-10 for tournament competition and Academy level training. Select is geared toward juniors willing to make a commitment to tennis. Participating juniors are selected based on try outs where they are evaluated for athletic ability and focus.

2xWeek: $300/session
3xWeek: $450/session

Mon - Fri: 4:30-5:45pm

TAS Academy

Ages 11 & Up For competitive tournament players

TAS Academy is a training program designed for the junior player age 11 and up, who wants to play high school tennis, become a competitively ranked tournament player, or compete at the college level and beyond. On court training includes intensive drilling, match tactics and conditioning. Off court training includes mental skills, goal setting, and tournament coaching. Participating juniors are selected based on individual evaluation.

Ages 11 & Up

2xWeek: $475/session
3xWeek: $700/session

Mon – Fri: 5:30-7:30pm

Siblings Pay for 3x/Wk Academy and get 4th drill for free

TAS High School / Middle School

For players preparing to compete on their team

TAS High School / Middle School is designed for players either on their school team or preparing / trying out for the team.

2xWeek: $300/session

Middle School - Mon/Wed: 7:30 – 9pm
High School – Tue/Thurs: 7:30 – 9pm

TAS Home School Elite

Ages 14 & Up – By Invitation Only

Inclement Weather

Weather cancellations are emailed 1 hour prior to drills. Make- ups are given for inclement weather only and will be scheduled as needed. All make-ups must be used within the same session.

Enrollment

Participants are grouped by ability and age. If a session enrollment does not reach the minimum of four participants per group, TAS reserves the right to cancel the session and either refund the unused portion of the fee or move the junior to a different drill day. Payment is due at the beginning of each session.
